A Roseburg man on probation for sacrificing a goat was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly attacking his father with an ax. Josiah Goldberg, 73, was sitting in a chair in the living room of his home in the 600 block of Rio Nes Lane east of Roseburg when his son, Hunter Chambers Goldberg, 24, struck him several times in the face with an ax, Douglas County sheriff’s spokesman Dwes Hutson said today. “He was cut up pretty bad.
