The prospect of a Roseburg-based medical school serving a seven-state area is enough to make the pulse quicken. As Mercy Medical CEO Kelly Morgan describes it, a health care college under consideration for the city for could train medical technologists, laboratory assistants and substance abuse counselors. It would work in partnership, not in competition, with Umpqua Community College.
