A former Douglas County Sheriff’s Office employee will go before the state’s Police Policy Committee this month to determine if he will be allowed to keep his certification as a law enforcement officer. Gregory M. Eaton’s moral fitness to serve as an officer will be reviewed Feb. 21 in Salem. It was brought to the committee as the result of an internal investigation. He is no longer a sheriff’s office employee. Douglas County officials declined to comment.
