A 19-year-old man broke both femurs in a head-on collision in Azalea over the weekend. On Saturday at 1 p.m., Brenton Lane Evans of Azalea was driving north on Azalea-Glen Road in a 2005 Subaru when he reached into the backseat and took his eyes off the road, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. He traveled into the southbound lane and struck a 2001 Jeep driven by Bethani Marie Brown, 21. Both vehicles received extensive front-end damage.
