GLIDE — A Winston-Dillard School District administrator and Douglas County native will be the next superintendent of the Glide School District. The school board unanimously picked Mike Narkiewicz to replace Steve Dickenson, who will return to retirement at the end of the year after two years as interim superintendent. Board Chairman Stan Spencer said Narkiewicz, who is assistant superintendent of the Winston-Dillard School District and principal of Brockway Elementary School, has experience and accomplishments that made him stand out from the two other finalists.
