Agencies say fire 911 info better

Several Douglas County fire officials say progress has been made in restoring the flow of information from 911 dispatchers to firefighters. “It makes it seem like there’s light at the end of the tunnel, that these issues will get resolved,” North Douglas Fire and EMS Assistant Chief Mike Grimes said Thursday. Since mid-January, Douglas County has been implementing a new computer software system in its 911 center, which handles emergency calls for law enforcement and fire agenices throughout the county.
