SPRINGFIELD — The Roseburg girls swim team rose to the occasion at the Southwest Conference Championships on Friday and Saturday. The Indians, with 14 advancing to the finals, captured the district title at Willamalane Park Swim Center. Sheldon was second and Thurston third. The Roseburg boys finished third in their meet behind Sheldon and Grants Pass. Senior Cali Tovey successfully defended her district championship in the 50 freestyle, clocking 26.05 seconds.
