Douglas County Health and Social Services is offering free training for handling life-threatening emergencies. Community Emergency Response Team training will be offered as a four-night class on Tuesdays beginning March 19 at the Douglas Fire District No. 2 conference room, 1290 N.E. Cedar St., Roseburg. Advance registration is required for the class, which will teach participants how to make critical decisions in crises such as fires, terrorist attacks and natural disasters.
