Myrtle Creek resident Claire Davis breathed easier when she heard President Barack Obama say in his State of the Union address Tuesday that he didn’t plan to reduce Medicare benefits for seniors. “Keep your hands off my Medicare and Social Security. That’s our livelihood,” Davis said. Davis was among the millions of Americans who listened to the hourlong address.
