Roseburg Food Project plans open house to beef up donor ranks

Roseburg Food Project organizers will have an open house for prospective volunteers and food donors at 7 p.m. March 7 at the Ford Community Room of the Douglas County Library, 1409 N.E.Diamond Lake Blvd., in Roseburg. Sixty-three neighborhood coordinators picked up 9,715 pounds of food from 726 donors Feb. 9, about the same amount of food received at the previous collection in December The FISH of Roseburg food pantry provides emergency food boxes to more than 1,000 low-income families each month.
