Company invites landowners to talk about natural gas pipeline

A company proposing to build a natural gas pipeline across Douglas County has invited landowners to discuss acquiring right of way, though federal regulators have yet to OK the project. “They say they want to begin the acquisition process. It’s a little premature,” said Francis Eatherington, who owns land in Days Creek that the 230-mile pipeline would go through on its way from Malin, near the California-Oregon border, to the proposed Jordan Cove natural gas export terminal in Coos Bay. “They have a lot of hoops to jump through before they can even build this.” The company proposing the Pacific …
