Roseburg High students perform play to inspire reading

Even though he lived on Paradise Island, the boy was bored. “This place is so boring,” he said. “There is nothing, nothing, nothing.” Suddenly, a fairy appeared and handed him a book. “Excuse me, well, if you aren’t finding this world interesting, why don’t you try this one?” she said. The fairy and the boy were two of the characters in a short play performed by drama students Wednesday at Roseburg High School for a loud, enthusiastic audience from Eastwood and Yoncalla elementary schools.
