The body pulled from the South Umpqua River at Elk Island Tuesday afternoon has been identified as a Roseburg man who was reported missing in early January. The Oregon State Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the identity as Levi Paul Jones, 35. An autopsy Wednesday determined Jones drowned. No foul play is suspected, according to the Roseburg Police Department. Jones was last seen leaving a home on Southeast Pine Street in Roseburg on the evening of Dec. 30.
