Farmers, business owners and others will gather in Riddle March 9 to discuss local foods. A Food Education Agriculture Solutions Together event will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Riddle Community Center, 123 Parkside St. NeighborWorks and the Oregon Food Bank are hosting the event. Laura Stroud, food assessor for NeighborWorks Umpqua, said the healthiness of local foods and whether they are available to all will be discussed. “A vibrant local food system and strong local economy depend on whether people have enough to eat,” Stroud said.
