A former Douglas County sheriff’s deputy, who was fired 10 months ago, has been stripped of his law enforcement certification by a state conduct board. The Police Policy Committee last week revoked Gregory Eaton’s police license for at least three years for misconduct and insubordination. Eaton’s employment with the sheriff’s office began in November 2011 and was terminated in April 2012. He was fired for not following his supervisor’s instructions, according to Department of Public Safety Standards and Training Director Eriks Gabliks.
