Oregon Court of Appeals refuses to give Douglas County man his marijuana back

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office was right to uphold federal law and not return marijuana seized from a Dixonville man after drug charges were dropped by the state, the Oregon Court of Appeals ruled Wednesday. The three-member panel agreed Dwight T. Ehrensing, 68, and four other people with medical marijuana cards were not entitled to the disputed pot. “I’m disappointed that my client doesn’t get his marijuana back,” said Brian Michaels, a Eugene attorney who represents Ehrensing.
