Bridger, 11, was fishing with his father Jim Godfrey. The boy was trolling a blue fox spinner when the fish struck. It took about 10 minutes to land it.

Kevin Ayres was 2 years old when he caught this rainbow trout, his first catch, at Lemolo Lake. The boy's grandmother, Darlene Ayres of Roseburg, helped him get the fish untangled from some woody debris while he was reeling it in. Kevin, who lives in Orlando, Fla., is now 14 years old.

Jesse was on a guided fishing trip with his father, Eric Felgentrager. The boy was 13 at the time. He also caught a 77-pound halibut during the trip.
