Roseburg Republicans talk about guns, tuition, I-5 bridge and prospecting

WINSTON — Gun control was a hot topic at a town hall meeting Saturday hosted by state Sen. Jeff Kruse and Rep. Tim Freeman at Winston City Hall. The Roseburg Republicans vowed to opposed gun control legislation. “There’s a whole series of bills being introduced in the Legislature that have to do with guns,” Freeman said. “If we get through the session without a motion going through, we can consider it successful.” Freeman and Kruse also discussed recent legislation that will grant in-state tuition to illegal immigrants who graduated from Oregon high schools and a costly project to rebuild the …
