GLIDE — A memorial that now has the names of 420 veterans inscribed on it will add more names before Memorial Day, according to memorial organizers. The Glide Veterans Memorial Steering Committee is again selling bricks to veterans and their families. The bricks include the name of the veteran, their branch of service, where they served and the years they were active. “We feel strongly about honoring veterans who sacrificed their lives for our freedom,” the memorial’s steward, Bill DeGroot, said Friday.
