A skier who built a snow cave and a small fire to survive the elements overnight in the Three Lakes Snow Park area was found safe by searchers today around 9 a.m., according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. Adam Drummer, 32, of Bend was cross-country skiing with friends around 1 p.m. Tuesday when he complained of being tired and decided to head back to their cabin, deputies said.
