About 20 state workers in Roseburg crammed a quick march into their lunch breaks Tuesday and then went back to work, most at the Department of Human Services on West Harvard Avenue. Demonstrators carried signs saying “People not Profit” and “Affordable Health Care for All.” Most said they want raises and better health insurance. The informational picket was part of a two-day statewide demonstration organized by Service Employees International Union Local 503, which represents 55,000 state workers.
