The Greater Douglas United Way is making one last push with donors, hoping to reach its $675,000 goal by March 31. Director Bryan Trenkle said they are nearly there. “In hard cash we’ve got about $600,000 right now,” Trenkle said. The 2012-13 campaign is already more successful than last year, when $550,000 in donations fell far short of an $800,000 goal. The organization’s fundraising has not climbed back to the levels achieved in the 2010-11 campaign, which collected $902,481.
