Pacific Power warned Thursday that scammers posing as utility representatives are calling customers and threatening to shut off electricity unless the customer makes a quick payment. Scammers say payments are overdue and advise customers to either pay immediately on the phone via a credit card, by calling a special number or by going to a store to buy a pre-paid card and call back with the code.
