Umpqua National Forest Supervisor Alice Carlton will spend the next several months in Portland temporarily serving as the director of civil rights for the Forest Service in Oregon and Washington. Gina Owens, the Umpqua National Forest deputy forest supervisor, will be the interim forest supervisor until Carlton returns to the post this summer.
