Eight Roseburg High School students will compete in the Greater Douglas County Distinguished Young Women Program at 7 p.m. Saturday at Umpqua Community College’s Jacoby Auditorium. The contestants will vie for scholarship dollars and two titles: Distinguished Young Woman of Greater Douglas County and Distinguished Young Woman of the Umpqua Valley. The two winners will advance to the Oregon Distinguished Young Women Program, set for Aug. 3 in Salem.
