Roseburg man suspected of refusing to pay restaurant bill

A Roseburg man accused of racking up a restaurant bill and refusing to pay was arrested on suspicion of third-degree theft and second-degree criminal trespassing Wednesday, police said.

James D. Blue, 49, ordered $93 worth of food and drink at the Blackbird Bar & Grill, 647 S.E. Jackson St. Asked to pay, he refused and then he further refused to leave at about 4:40 p.m., police said.

Roseburg police arrested Blue without incident. He was taken to Douglas County Jail and held in lieu of $250 bail. He was released Thursday.
