Man tries to steal wine from downtown pub

A Roseburg man was arrested on suspicion of trying to steal wine from a downtown restaurant and then fighting with another man outside the establishment Saturday night, according to Roseburg police.

Kenny Allen Edwards, 36, was booked into the Douglas County Jail on suspicion of second-degree disorderly conduct and unlawful possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

The incident occurred at about 9 p.m. at O’Toole’s Pub, 328 S.E. Jackson St. Edwards fought with a 52-year-old Roseburg man, police said.

Edwards was held in lieu of $2,500 bail. He was not listed as a jail inmate today.
