Police Log: Driver hits waterline in Canyonville

Tuesday

Douglas County sheriff

3:29 a.m. — A man in the 300 block of Surprise Avenue in Canyonville reported that several people were putting incense, smoke and perfume outside his window to harass him.

6:27 a.m. — A man with a machete was chasing a woman around a house in the 100 block of Hidden Spring Lane in Drain.

8:19 a.m. — A woman in Myrtle Creek reported that her boyfriend’s 15-year-old daughter threatened to stab the woman to death and cut off her head.

8:37 a.m. — A man in the 5200 block of Grange Road in Roseburg had been yelling at public works employees for about 20 minutes.

10:10 a.m. — A woman in Myrtle Creek reported that her 24-year-old son-in-law was always smoking pot and driving without a driver’s license.

11:32 a.m. — A woman in the 9300 block of Old Highway 99 South in Winston reported that she had recorded images of a man stealing a candy bar.

2:54 p.m. — Casino security in the 100 block of Chief Miwaleta Lane in Canyonville was having trouble with an intoxicated man it had already kicked out and who was back again causing problems.

3:27 p.m. — A husky and a dachshund were running at large and not moving for vehicles, near the corner of Happy Valley Road and Bailey Drive in Roseburg.

9:45 p.m. — A tractor-trailer on Interstate 5 at Milepost 120 at Roseburg was driving north with its lights off.

11:09 a.m. — A driver hit and broke a waterline in the 700 block of North Main Street in Canyonville. Water was gushing everywhere.

9:38 p.m. — A woman rolled her yellow Volkswagen Beetle on Highway 38 at Milepost 18 at Scottsburg.

Kelly Michael Simmons, 42, of Drain, on suspicion of second-degree kidnapping, fourth-degree assault, strangulation, menacing, unlawful use of a weapon, interfering with making a police report and a parole violation.

Richard Lee Simmons, 18, no location available, on suspicion of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

Corey Michael Tate, 18, no location available, on suspicion of second-degree burglary and third-degree theft.

Roseburg Police

Brian Blake Baird, 44, of Roseburg, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, reckless driving and a parole violation.

Launa Danielle Davis, 25, no location available, on suspicion of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and a felony probation violation.

Jennifer Marie Schaan, 28, no location available, on suspicion of unlawful possession of oxycodone.

Jessica Jean Scott, 24, of Roseburg, on suspicion of first-degree theft.

Winston Police

Landon Wayne McIntire, 18, no location available, on suspicion of three counts of first-degree encouraging child sex abuse, possessing material depicting sexually explicit conduct of a child, using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct, third-degree sex abuse and contributing to the sexual delinquency of a minor.
