Kudos: Oregon Community Foundation and Lowe's cultivate success of Glide Elementary School garden

Grants key to growth

The Glide Elementary School garden, “The Paw Patch,” is pleased to thank the Oregon Community Foundation and Lowe’s for recent grants.

The OCF grant of $2,500 will finish the construction within our current garden site including beds, plants and soil. The Lowe’s grant of $3,800 will be used to put in an orchard and another vegetable growing area, as well as purchasing more tools.

Our garden is a place of hands-on learning. It cultivates a sense of wonderment toward nature, promotes good stewardship of our piece of the planet, encourages healthy eating habits and connects with our community. Thank you so much, Oregon Community Foundation and Lowe’s, for making this possible!
