Local Lions praise donors The Sutherlin and Oakland communities radiated Christmas joy this year. The Sutherlin Lions Club appreciates the donations of money, gifts, game prizes, food and Christmas trees from local individuals, businesses and nonprofits. Their support made the Dec. 15 Christmas Festival a holiday delight for the children. The next day, the decorated trees, clothes and toys were delivered to 27 families in Sutherlin and Oakland, which included 77 children and youth. Our community is awesome.
