Briggs visit coast for 50th Bob and Suzie Briggs celebrated their 50th anniversary at Newport. Visiting the Oregon coast is one of their favorite things to do. Both Bob and Suzie grew up in Bandon, where they were high school sweethearts. They attended Western Oregon College of Education (now Western Oregon University) in Monmouth. During their sophomore year, on Dec. 31, 1962, Robert Briggs and Sharon (Suzie) Conn were married in Bandon. After graduation, they got jobs in Glide. Bob taught at the junior high school. Suzie taught at the elementary school, then became vice principal at the high school. …
