Club News: Roseburg High School Interact inducts new members

RHS Interact grows, serves

The Roseburg High School Interact Club recently held its induction ceremony, with 47 members receiving their pins and membership certificates. The Rotary clubs of Roseburg sponsor RHS Interact. Of the 33 Interact clubs in the local Rotary district, RHS Interact is the largest.

Interact members choose and participate in projects and programs, guided by adult Rotarians and a high school staff adviser. The youth develop leadership and service skills to benefit others locally and globally.

This year, the club has sent two members to an international peace forum in Hawaii. Members have collected and delivered more than 250 pairs of jeans and 50 sweatshirts and hoodies to Casa De Belen. Club members worked at Saving Grace and Wildlife Safari on landscaping projects, hosted a school dance, and provided more than 250 hours of service to various projects.
