Kudos: Unruh grant brings music to Roseburg children

Unruh grant brings music

Cobb Children’s Learning Center thanks the Unruh Foundation for its continued support for our fine arts curriculum. Cobb Discovery Child Care recently received $1,143 to purchase a “Music in Motion” curriculum for our infant through 4-year-old classrooms. Posters, rhythm cards, movement and dance props, a 40-piece rhythm band set, hand bells, boom whackers and rhythm sticks will be purchased with the grant monies.

This program will give our children access to hands-on movement and music both indoors and outdoors. We look forward to bringing the love of arts to our even our youngest children. Dr. Unruh’s legacy makes it possible for us to infuse music and art into all subjects for more than 300 children yearly; many of those are underprivileged. Thank you to the Unruh Foundation for creating a culture of arts appreciation for all of our children and families.
