Kudos: Sutherlin Oakland Pantry offers thanks for assistance

Pantry grateful for supporters

The Sutherlin Oakland Emergency Food Pantry wants to thank C. Giles Hunt Charitable Trust. It provided a generous grant of $11,000 for the purchase of milk to distribute to our clients. The pantry has been helped by the trust for many years and is thankful that we were given a grant again this year. The grant allows us to supply milk to every family we serve and to help in emergency situations.

We also once again received a supply of canned food products from the Sutherlin Stampede Rodeo, which each year gives free Rodeo admission for a can of food. This year’s total was 3,830 pounds. We thank the rodeo attendees and appreciate the help from the community that continues to support the pantry. With support from all of you, our pantry and its 29 volunteers served 3,615 families last year.
