Bits-n-Pieces: Camas Valley church garners award from Oregon-Idaho conference

Few in number, great in action

The Camas Valley United Methodist Church, on behalf of its 30 members, received the “Most Can Do, We Can Do Anything” award at the 2013 Oregon-Idaho Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

The conference took place during the summer and the commendation to the Camas Valley church states, “They are a blessing for the community. The Spirit is alive and well in this small and vital congregation.”

The award recognizes the members’ participation and active support of local and neighboring communities. The Camas church members’ outreach activities include the Dillard-Winston Food Pantry, Camas Valley Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary, church camp at Camp Myrtlewood, Camas Valley community garden, community soup suppers and more.
