Kudos: Sutherlin pantry provides meals for the needy with the help of Holiday Giving program

Holiday meals made possible by grant

Sutherlin Oakland Emergency Food Pantry would like to thank the Ford Foundation for the generous grant of $5,000 from its Holiday Giving Program. The pantry will be able to supply holiday boxes with turkey, potatoes, vegetables, bread, milk and the makings for a dessert. This will help provide approximately 1,250 people in the Sutherlin, Oakland, Wilbur and Umpqua areas with a holiday meal.

Twenty-five of our volunteers will spend six hours the day of distribution to box and deliver the food. We have been receiving a gift from Ford Foundation for several years and we appreciate this assistance so we can help the needy in our community.
