Kudos: Community welcomes veterans to new housing in Roseburg

The eagles have landed

NeighborWorks Umpqua and Umpqua Community Property Management thank the generous volunteers who helped those moving in to Eagle Landing Apartments, the permanent housing for veterans.

Thank you, Gerrie King, for organizing the Household Goods drive and distribution day. Your tireless efforts at promoting, setting up collection sites, storing and sorting donations are much appreciated. You’re a treasure to the community.

Thank you to St. Joseph Church for providing the donation drop-off and distribution site.

Thanks to Joyce Smith for organizing donations for the Community Room and preparing Thanksgiving dinner for the Eagle Landing residents.

Thanks to American West Bank for the donation used to purchase community room furniture and new beds, and to the Soldier’s Angels volunteers for helping to gather donations and spreading the word.

Finally, thank you, Douglas County residents, for your generosity in providing household goods for the veterans.
