Kudos: Wish Upon a Star made Christmas brighter for young family in Roseburg

‘Wish’ donors appreciated

My faith in humanity was restored with a single wish fulfilled by Wish Upon a Star. Thanks to Umpqua Bank, Brook Communications, Keith Rochester at Aardvark Media Transfer, Sheila Nelson photography and Fred Meyer stores, a young woman with terminal kidney cancer was able to make her young son’s Christmas a little brighter.

I thank God for my health, and for all those who helped this mother. Her life may be cut much shorter than it should be, but Wish upon a Star has made me realize we live in a Gold Star Community. The sense of pride should be high in our community for the great things Wish upon a Star has accomplished. I’m proud to see what can be done when we push our differences aside and work as a team to do what we could not do as individuals.
