Head Start to offer free parenting classes

Head Start will host four free parenting classes starting Feb. 5 for families with children who are infants to 10 years old. The classes focus on Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports, a technique used at Head Start and many public schools to provide children with a safe and successful environment to learn and grow. Lessons are taught by Dale Meyers, an educational and behavioral consultant. Classes will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 5 and 19 and March 5 and 19 at the First United Methodist Church, 1771 W.
