Bail keeps suspected arsonist in jail

A Riddle man accused of setting a dozen roadside fires outside Riddle last summer likely will stay in the Douglas County Jail after being charged with a new crime. Prosecutors Monday withdrew a motion seeking to revoke the jail release agreement for David James Neet, 22. Douglas County Deputy District Attorney Jodee Jackson told Circuit Judge Ron Poole that the $100,000 bail in the new case appeared to be high enough to keep Neet in jail until his April 10 trial on nine counts of first-degree arson and one count of second-degree arson.
