Police suspect foul play in a vehicle fire early Monday morning in Sutherlin. At 9 a.m., a resident in the 500 block of Central Avenue discovered a 2000 Audi A6 had been torched overnight. The fire was out before Sutherlin police and Douglas County Fire District No. 2 arrived. Sutherlin police Sgt. Joe Felix said evidence from the scene suggested the fire was set intentionally, but he declined to elaborate, citing an ongoing investigation.
