Roseburg teen taken to hospital after crash

A Roseburg teenager suffered minor injuries when a car he was in rolled on its top Monday morning, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said today.

Kyle Gray, 17, was a passenger in a 1988 Chevrolet pickup around 9 a.m. driven by Shawn Neeley, 17, in the area of Cleveland Hill Road and Melqua Road when the car approached a corner too fast, deputies said. The vehicle began to slide then left the road on the opposite side and rolled on its top, deputies said.

Gray was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Roseburg, where he was treated and released, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Neeley and another passenger, Colttan Beasley, 18, of Roseburg, were uninjured.
