A Roseburg woman is in jail after she allegedly walked up to a 5-year-old girl and grabbed her Thursday afternoon, according to police.

Police say Brooke Nicole Stocki, 25, was under the influence of methamphetamine when she walked up to the girl, who she thought was someone else, at approximately 12:30 p.m.

The girl's father told Stocki that she didn't know his daughter and then told his daughter to walk back toward him.

When the child began walking back to her father, Stocki grabbed the child and held her close to her body.

Stocki then let go of the child and took off running. Police later located the woman in the 500 block of Southeast Rice Avenue and arrested her. While at the jail, staff found Stocki to be in possession of a methamphetmine pipe.

She was arrested on suspicion of methamphetamine possession and harassment.
