The Douglas County Parks Department will host an Earth Day planting party from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Windy Cove County Park, 380 Salmon Harbor Drive, Winchester Bay.

The plan is to place several hundred plants along the perimeter of the park and Salmon Harbor Drive. Volunteers should bring leather gloves, weather-appropriate clothing, shovels, gardening tools, eye protection, water and snacks. Free parking and plants will be provided.
