We camped a lot growing up, and no camping trip was complete without my mom’s famous Ranger Cookies.
Mom would make the cookies ahead, and each one would be gobbled up by the end of the trip.
The oats, coconut and cornflakes make it a great energy-boosting snack for those hungry “rangers” any time of day. They also are melt-resistant, so you can have bags of them laying out for a quick grab-and-go between adventures.
We would eat them in the morning for breakfast, shove them in our pockets during a hike, bring them to the beach for afternoon swimming and nibble on them at night with s’mores.
You really can’t get enough. I suggest making a lot.
