Roseburg is home to Southern Oregon Warbirds Association, Inc., an organization formed in 1995 by local veterans and dedicated to recognizing and preserving the history, sacrifices and significant contributions of Southern Oregon air war veterans who served in the defense of our freedom. The group’s stated mission is to “Educate current and future generations about the realities of war in the hope that it will lead to prevention of future wars.” The association is a private, fraternal organization comprised of veterans who participated in the wars of our country in a military aviation-related capacity.
