On Nov. 11, Armistice Day will be celebrated across the nation. The old veterans with medals and ribbons pinned to their chests will shuffle along with effort down Main Street, USA, in those hometown parades. There will be a pause in the parade at a given time and then a moment of silent prayer to remember our veterans, the living and the dead. Later in the day the wives, widows and loved ones, in solemn processions with flowers in hand and tears in their eyes, will visit those hallowed, lonely grave sites.
