Oregon students raise pigs to pay for school trip

EDDYVILLE, Ore. (AP) " It definitely doesn't smell as good as a bake sale.Seniors at Eddyville Charter School are raising three not-so-little pigs to earn money for their senior trip.The 12 seniors at the farming community school say they will also try the traditional methods of fundraising like raffles or auctions. But the idea of the pigs has taken root."It started off as a joke pretty much," said Ashley Conner, 17. "We were just talking about fundraising ideas."Some of the seniors or their families already had experience raising the animals."I think it's fun. We're all pretty much farm kids," said …
