Fewer insured children will receive free shots at the Douglas County Health Department beginning Friday. The federal Centers for Disease Control, which provides the vaccines, decided patients with insurance would only be given shots if they are not included under their insurance plan. Native Americans and Oregon Health Plan patients still qualify for the free shots.
