Five candidates vie for three positions on Canyonville City Council

CANYONVILLE — Voters will see five candidates on the November ballot competing for three openings on the City Council. Incumbents Frank Braudt and Judy Coleman are running to retain their positions, while former councilors Susan Moran-Kaidme and Marilyn Loomis and newcomer Dana Ravera are trying to win seats. The top three voter-getters will be on the council. Voters will choose three candidates on the ballot. The current council members agree with a proposal by U-Trans to let the public vote on whether to form a Douglas County transit district.
